Meet Jasper — 70 pounds of goofy, lovable charm wrapped up in one incredibly sweet dog. At 6 years old, Jasper is the perfect balance of playful and laid-back, and all he really wants is a family to love him forever.

Jasper first came to Pitt Friends as a tiny puppy six years ago. He was adopted, and we hoped he had found his happily ever after. Sadly, last November, Jasper was found by animal control running loose, severely underweight, and suffering from a broken leg. Despite everything he has been through, Jasper’s spirit remains full of love, trust, and joy. His leg has fully healed, and now he’s ready for the real forever home he deserves.

This handsome boy absolutely adores people of all ages. His favorite thing in the world is snuggling up with his humans and simply being close to the people he loves. Jasper is house-trained, walks well on a leash, and enjoys slow strolls around the neighborhood—unless a rabbit suddenly appears a few feet away, then you’ll want to hang on tight! He’s happiest living a quieter lifestyle, as large events and busy environments can make him overstimulated. Jasper would thrive in a calm home with backyard time, cozy couches, short walks, and plenty of affection.

He also has a hilarious personality that keeps everyone smiling. Jasper loves toys and entertains himself by tossing them in the air and catching them all on his own. Fetch? He thinks that’s your job, not his. Jasper does well with most other dogs, especially smaller ones, though he can be a little clueless about personal space. After everything he’s endured, he still greets life with a wagging tail and giant smile. If you’re looking for a loyal companion and champion cuddler, Jasper may just be your perfect match. 🐾
