Briar

Briar is a one-year-old sweetheart who has come an incredibly long way since being rescued alongside his littermates and mom from a field where they had never known love, safety, or human affection. Thanks to the patience and dedication of his foster family, Briar has blossomed from a terrified puppy into a gentle, affectionate companion who is ready to find a forever family of his own.

While he can still be a little shy when meeting new people, Briar warms up quickly — usually within just a few days — and once he trusts you, he becomes the ultimate cuddle buddy. He loves belly rubs, ear scratches, lounging on the couch for movie nights, and staying close to his people. He’s calm, laid back, and happiest when he’s spending time with his family. Briar has done wonderfully meeting new people, children, dogs, and even cats. He’s curious but respectful around cats, gets along with both male and female dogs, and enjoys being part of the action without being overwhelming. He also loves running around outside and would do best in a home with a fenced yard where he can safely explore and play.

Briar is crate trained, potty trained, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered. He makes a wonderful road trip buddy, enjoys spending time outdoors, and is just as happy curled up beside you on the couch for a quiet evening at home. After spending the first part of his life scared and unsure of the world, Briar is finally discovering what it means to be loved. Now all he needs is a family to call his own.
