Carissa arrived at the shelter very pregnant and gave birth to her puppies the very next day. She has been an incredible mother, but she is also ready to be someone’s spoiled companion once her puppies are fully weaned.

Carissa is affectionate, housetrained, and has gotten along wonderfully with everyone in her foster home. Her favorite place is snuggled in bed—preferably as close to her person as possible! She is also an attentive girl who will alert you when someone is nearby.

Whether you are looking for a running partner, a Netflix companion, or a little of both, Carissa is happy to join you. She has not been formally tested with children, but her foster believes her loving, friendly personality could make her a wonderful family dog.

Carissa is estimated to weigh around 65 pounds. Once her puppies are weaned, she will be spayed and heartworm tested before adoption. Applications are being accepted now for her future forever home.
