Jasper

Jasper came to Pitt Friends 6 years ago as a little puppy. He was adopted and we thought he had found furever. Skip ahead to this past November, Jasper was picked up by animal control. He was found emaciated and running loose with a broken leg. We've been searching for his real furever since November.

This handsome boy is the sweetest dog. He loves people of all sizes. He's good with most other dogs. He's not real good with personal space boundaries so if Jasper is going to have a dog sibling, they must like him in their space. He is house-trained and does great on walks.

Jasper is a sweet boy looking for a second chance at life. He is heartworm positive, but there’s no need to be afraid—heartworm disease is common and treatable, and dogs like Jasper can still live happy, loving lives during and after treatment.

He comes neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and includes one full year of slow-kill heartworm treatment to support his recovery.

Heartworms aren’t contagious between pets (they’re only spread by mosquitoes), and with a little care, Jasper will make an amazing companion. He just needs someone willing to give him a chance.
